You might be thinking that reupholstering would cost you a lot, but you do not need to worry, reupholstering your bar stool will be light on your pocket. You will find most of the things that you need to reupholster at your home, so basically you will be spending money only on the fabric for your new covering.
Reupholstering a bar stool won't take much time, and you can do it all by yourself. Once you know how to reupholster, you can always keep experimenting with new covers.
How to Reupholster a Bar Stool?
Before you begin with the reupholstering process, make sure that legs of your stool are not damaged, you do not want a reupholstered stool with a broken leg, do you? Once you have made sure that there is no other problem with the stool except for the upholstery, you can proceed. Here are the steps that you should follow:
Remove the Cover
This is the part where you remove the existing upholstery.

- Flat head screw driver
- Hammer
Give Fresh Padding
Once you have removed the old covering, check whether your bar stool has a decent padding, if not, it is time to give your stool a new padding.

- Pencil
- Furniture foam
- Utility knife
- Adhesive
Create a New Pattern
While the adhesive is doing its work, you can start working on your new covering.

- Fabric
- Scissors
Secure the Cover
Now that your new covering is ready, check if your foam padding is completely fixed to the seat of your bar stool. If the padding is fixed, it is time for you to attach your new covering.

Once you are done stapling, your reupholstered bar stool is ready, and you can start using it right away. See, reupholstering your bar stool was not difficult at all.
